enabling it to fulfil an important role in medical education. Only articles with robust
educational content will be considered for accreditation. Each educational activity will
be designated with a maximum of 1 hour in Category 1 credit towards the AMA
Physicians Recognition Award (PRA). Only those hours actually spent in the educational

The American Medical Association has determined that physicians not licensed in the United States, who participate in this CME activity are eligible for AMA PRA Category 1 credit.
Articles may be provocative and challenging, but this should not be
at the expense of scientific accuracy. All articles will be subject to peer review by at
least two independent experts. Authors are invited to suggest up to five potential
independent peer reviewers. Use of these reviewers is at the discretion of the
Editors-in-Chief; alternatively, they may make their own selections. Following peer
review, the manuscript will be returned to the lead author for revision. Authors will be
kept informed of their article throughout the publication process.
Clinical Approaches in Bipolar Disorders is distributed
throughout the world to universities, medical schools, medical libraries, research
institutes, hospitals, and individual subscribers. The journal is supported by an
unrestricted educational grant from AstraZeneca. This enables the publisher, Cambridge Medical Publications,
to provide the journal free of charge to a certain number of individuals determined at its
discretion and allocated on a first come, first served basis. You are invited
to subscribe to receive Clinical
Approaches in Bipolar Disorders in print.
Articles printed in this publication are at the invitation of the
Editors-in-Chief and the Editorial Board. If you have an idea for an article, please
contact the Publishing Editor, who will liaise
with the Editors-in-Chief concerning your suggestion. All manuscripts submitted for
publication are peer reviewed, and the main criterion is that all articles have a
predominantly clinical focus.
Although great care is taken to ensure accuracy, Cambridge Medical
Publications cannot be liable for any errors or inaccuracies in this publication. Opinions
expressed are those of the authors. Cambridge Medical Publications, the Editors-in-Chief,
the Editorial Board, and the grantor cannot be held responsible for the validity of
clinical treatments, dose regimens or other medical statements. All dosages referred to in
articles should be checked against the relevant data sheet for the product.
Clinical Approaches in Bipolar Disorders is published by Cambridge
Medical Publications with the support of an unrestricted educational grant from
AstraZeneca. The terms of the grant are such that AstraZeneca has no influence over the
contents of the journal and can make no restriction or other decision regarding
distribution. The Editors-in-Chief and Editorial Board remain free to determine content,
and accept or reject articles in accordance with standard journal practice. The publisher,
Cambridge Medical Publications, is free to take all decisions regarding distribution and
subscriptions. The educational grant is made to further the global understanding of
bipolar disorder, inform, and educate practising physicians in this field with a view,
ultimately, to improving patient care.
